Features

Everything for Sunday,
close at hand.

A tour of the tools that help one person prepare the service during the week and run it calmly from the booth.

⌘K Search

Find anything
in a keystroke.

Press ⌘K and type a verse, a lyric, or a word from a slide. Search looks through this service, your song library, and the Bible at once, so what you need is one Return away, even while you’re live.

  • Type a reference like “jn 3 16” or words like “faith hope love”
  • Jump straight to any slide in the presentation
  • Open a song or passage ready to add, or add it without showing it with ⌥↵
Search open over the Present workspace with “grace” typed, listing matching slides, songs, and scripture passages.

Scripture

Add a passage
in seconds.

Type the reference the way you’d write it in your notes. Guidepost understands shorthand like “jn 3 16-18” or “1 cor 15:58”, shows you the verses, and previews them in your theme before you add them.

  • One verse per slide, grouped under the passage’s reference
  • Long verses shrink to fit or split across slides, labeled 16a and 16b
  • KJV and the World English Bible included, and you can install translations you’re licensed to use
  • Recent passages are a click away
The Add scripture picker with “jn 3 16-18” typed, John 3:16–18 selected in the verse grid, and a preview of the first slide.

Anchor passages

Follow the sermon,
wherever it goes.

Mark the sermon’s main passage as the anchor. When the pastor turns to another passage, add it as a supporting passage. When it ends, Next brings you straight back to the verse you left.

  • The passage map shows every verse, where you are, and the way back
  • Press R to return to the anchor at any time
  • Supporting passages never get in the way of Next
Present workspace live on Psalm 46:1 as a supporting passage, with the passage map for Romans 8:28–39 and a Return to 8:31 button.

Stage Display

A view made
for the stage.

Your speaker and musicians get their own screen: large lyrics with chords above them, what’s next, the song map, the clock, and the speaker timer.

  • Chords live in your lyrics and appear only on the stage
  • A speaker timer with presets for the sermon and announcements
  • The stage shows when the audience screen is blanked or frozen

Present workspace with the Stage Display panel open, showing cue chips such as 5 min and Wrap up, and the live stage view.
Send a cue like “5 min” or “Wrap up” from Present. It appears as a large banner across the bottom of the stage.

Network viewers

Every phone in the
room can follow along.

Turn on network viewers and anyone on the church Wi‑Fi can watch in a web browser. They scan the QR code in the Screens panel, with no app to install. Use it for a lobby TV, an overflow room, or someone who needs the words up close.

  • Viewers see exactly what the audience screen shows, transitions and all
  • Watch only: nobody can control the service from a viewer
  • See how many people are watching in the live status bar
  • Turn viewers off automatically when you end live

Themes

One theme,
every slide in step.

A theme sets the fonts, colors, background, and text treatment for titles, scripture, songs, and announcements at once. Change it and watch every kind of slide update in the preview. Save, and every slide that uses it follows.

  • Still and motion backgrounds, with dimming, a vignette, grain, or a scrim for legibility
  • Default layouts for each kind of slide, lines per song slide, and transitions
  • Start from a built-in theme and make it your own, or give one slide its own look
The Edit Theme sheet with fonts, colors, background, text effect, and per-kind defaults beside previews of a title, scripture, song, and announcement slide.

Songs

Songs arranged the way
your team sings them.

Write lyrics with chords inline, see how each section breaks into slides, and save arrangements like “Sunday short” or “Christmas”. Public-domain hymns come bundled, alongside your own songs.

  • Editing a bundled hymn saves your own copy, keeping its favorite and history
  • A blank line inside a section starts a new slide
  • During the service, the song map repeats a chorus or skips a verse for tonight only
The song editor for Amazing Grace with chorded lyrics in each section, Sunday short and Christmas arrangements, and a preview of the slides.

Live controls

Calm controls
when you’re live.

Freeze the audience screen while you line up what’s next, blank it, show your logo, or clear the text and keep the background. Put a message across the bottom of the screen without touching the slide.

  • Single keys for Blank, Logo, Freeze, Clear text, and Message: B, L, F, C, and M
  • The live slide, what’s up next, and your notes always in view
  • Space for Next, and a big Next button when you’d rather click

And the rest of the week.
